SUPPORT WORKER

£13.50 per hour for direct child time & travelling time to and from home to work, in addition

We require Zero Hour Support Workers in the Crawley area.

Hours are flexible hours across days, evenings and weekends.


You will be supporting our foster carers and respite carers, work will be offered on an “as required”
basis. You could be supervising children in family contact sessions, caring for them in the foster home or taking them out for leisure and fun.
You may be required to provide personal care to some children who have complex medical needs.

The work will be varied but extremely rewarding, knowing you have made a difference to the lives of our children and their carers. You will receive ongoing training, support from an allocated supervising Social Worker and have access to 24/7 on-call support from our dedicated social work team.

• You will have previous experience caring for children or young adults with disabilities and be committed to provide outstanding care.
• You must be IT literate with a good standard of written communication as you will be required to submit, via our online portal, concise and accurate reports on work with the children.
• You must be a UK resident with the right to live and work in the UK.
• A full driving licence and your own transport.

The hourly rate of pay is applicable to direct child time, travelling time to and from home to work, your supervision time (usually an hour) and training (generally an hour for online courses). Mileage of 0.45p per mile is also payable.
