Rotosound is a British manufacturing company which started life in the 1950’s, moving from its roots in South East London to Sevenoaks in the early 1980’s and where we have remained ever since.
Primarily we manufacture musical instrument strings, designing and developing our own bespoke machinery to produce them.
We currently have a vacancy for an engineer and general maintenance person, who will be responsible for the day to day up-keep of our shop floor.
General workshop experience and tool room knowledge is vital, as is the operating of lathes, milling machines and grinders for the fabrication of machine parts and preventative breakdown work. Experience of electronics with drive systems and automation, would be of benefit too.
This position is permanent and full time. The hours are 40 hour per week, working Monday to Friday 8am – 4.45pm. Lunch is 45 minutes and there are two 15-minute tea breaks. We offer 28 days’ holiday per annum inclusive of Public and Bank holidays. The Rotosound factory is just a 10-minute walk from Sevenoaks train station and a 10-minute drive from the M25 and M26.
