Our client, a Freight Forwarding company is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join their busy team in Essex.

 

As the Shipping Coordinator, you will be assisting with day-to-day management of departmental multimodal bookings (Import & Export) including documentation customs entries releases & deliveries and invoicing.

You will be interacting with customer’s team members and all internal departments including Sales Transport & Accounts.

Other duties include:


Liaising with customers and other departments during the booking process, ensuring all bookings are handled correctlyMake sure bookings have been invoiced by shipping lineLiaising with customers to ensure correct documentation is received for shipments, then forwarded to the shipping linesEnsure shipping lines have accurate instructions for bills of ladingAllocate incoming payments
 

The successful Shipping Coordinator will have experience gained within a Freight Forwarding / Logistics organisation where you were dealing with multimodal Import / Export shipments.

You will need to have working knowledge of Customs clearance matters and good commercial awareness.

We are keen to speak with self-motivated candidates who have good communication skills and are competent with MS applications.
