We are currently seeking a Seafreight Import Operator for our client based in Basildon, who are a provide global supply chain solutions

 

As the Seafreight Import Operator, day-to-day duties will involve dealing with companies worldwide, liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers, controlling all aspects of Seafreight imports from start to finish and everything in between.

Duties continued:


Control all Seafreight Import activities on a start to finish basisEnsure all Consignments are loaded onto computer system prior to arrival / departureKeep customers fully informed of anything which may cause delay to a shipmentDevelop constructive relationships with key customers and key supplier
 

The successful Seafreight Import Operator will have start to finish Sea Freight Import experience or have been working as a Seafreight Import Operator / Import Clerk / Import Coordinator, etc.

We would love to speak with enthusiastic individuals who have a good operational know-how of import procedures, excellent customer service skills and experience of LCL and FCL from a freight / logistics background.

Being a proficient communicator; in person, on the phone and in writing and having commercial sense are vital attributes.
