Our client, a commercial heating specialist, is currently seeking a Procurement Support Officer for their team in Basildon.

Hours for this role are Mon-Thur, 8:30-5 and working 8:30-4 on a Friday.

 

As the Procurement Support Officer, you will be booking and arranging collections with the transport companies, checking goods in paperwork against order placed, and resolving purchase order invoice queries.

The successful Procurement Support Officer will ideally have previous procurement experience, and knowledge of customs.

We are keen to speak with self-motivated candidates who have the ability to work well under pressure and have excellent communication skills as you will be required to liaise with the warehouse to discuss goods in problems or any damages.

 

Procurement Support Officer Duties:


Ordering products from internal and external suppliersBooking stock onto the system, and releasing sales orders to transportObtaining transport estimates for collection from European suppliers for deliveryNegotiating buying prices with external suppliersSending commercial invoices to customs agentChasing suppliers for outstanding orders
