Goldhawk Associates are working with a reputable firm of accountants who are looking to appoint a Trust Manager to their team. This role is based in London and they are looking ideally for a qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA accountant with previous experience of working with a varied client base and staff supervision. Your role will be to assist the Partner and Senior Manager in managing the trust department which looks after a large number of trusts, deceased estates, and high net worth families. They are looking for someone with significant technical expertise and experience in this area to provide high level taxation and general advice regarding trust formation, reorganisations involving breaking trusts, and general IHT planning. The team currently provides a service for approximately 300+ Trusts; probates; estates; small private charities; individual clients and their families and family office type
administrative services.

The firm also offers bespoke estate and IHT planning advice for new and existing clients, and we work closely in association with our Financial Planning Team and the Tax Team in relation to advising high net worth individuals. As part of the Trusts and Estates team service line plan in London and firm-wide, and as part of the wider private client and tax plans, we are looking to continue the significant growth that we have achieved in the last few years.

They are looking for someone who can demonstrate previous experience as you will be responsible for managing high net worth family groups alongside managing a team of 4 people, including training, mentoring, and appraising staff; You will also manage the team`s workflow, billing, and debtors and ensure that key deadlines including annual accounts and tax compliance are met. It is essential that you have previous relevant experience as either a Trust Manager or having worked as a tax manager in a mixed role. Ideally, you will have had previous staff management experience and experience of managing high net worth family groups and offshore trusts. If you have also got knowledge of probate and estates this would be beneficial, if not training will be given.

You will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA accountant with previous management experience. Hold STEP membership or willing to study for the qualification.
