My client is seeking a UK/EU IT Support Engineer which sits within the UK IT Department and reports to the UK/EU Regional IT Infrastructure Manager. The position is responsible for assisting the UK/EU Regional IT Infrastructure Manager manage IT tickets, their IT network, servers, PC's, security, and backups in the EU/UK.
This is a 'hands-on' role with the successful candidate performing IT administration, network configuration, troubleshooting, and responding to IT tickets.
* Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade, and support IT infrastructure and networks
* Hands-on management of ICT systems, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrades, patches, and support.
* Prioritize and resolve IT tickets in a timely manner
* Configure / decommission hardware such as PC's, laptop's, servers, printers, door security systems, etc. as required.
* Create and disable users in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
* Assist with server management, patching, backups, certificate management, storage management.
* Create / decommission basic SharePoint sites
* Provide support for selected internal applications
* Improve and monitor IT security
* Configure and troubleshoot telecommunications, phones, ISP connection, mobile devices (MDM), etc.
* Assist with the implementation of all IT policies and procedures
* Ensure existing standards are adhered to and suggest improvements to operating procedures and best practices
* Periodically undertake IT project work
* Regularly communicate and report activity to UK/EU Regional IT Infrastructure Manager
* Keep up to date with the latest technologies and identify opportunities for these to add value to Pentagon's business.
* Ad hoc duties as required by the Business or the Global IT Director
