Premier Work Support are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic cargo solutions company based in Grays, who are looking to recruit an experienced Import Clerk to join their small, friendly team. To be considered for this role, you must have Import Sea freight experience and be able to clearly communicate by phone and email.
Duties will include:
* Import LCL and FCL largely but not exclusively from Far East
* Book shipments with overseas offices - nominating routings
* Manage origin bookings and approval of document
* Receive and manage routed overseas business
* Shipment tracking
* Issue arrival notices / billing
* Arrange customs clearance and FAS payments
* Arrange releases and deliveries
* Process supplier/agents' invoices
* Liaise with hauliers, suppliers, overseas offices and internal colleagues via email and telephone
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work to deadlines and must have excellent attention to detail.
This is a Full-time, permanent role with the hours of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm.
