The role of Demand Planner is to provide forecasting, and proactive inventory, planning improvement recommendations, with a key focus on accurate demand forecasting and a strong S&OP process; promote the Supply Chain department in a positive , professional , and proficient manner, strive to achieve an exceed personal , departmental and company targets.


Forecast generation, analysing significant deviations, highlighting missing information and proposing solutionsManagement of CRM project requirements and identification of forecast changes due to project wins, losses or changesEnsure timely communication of the forecast throughout the business, particularly before S&OP cycle beginsUndertake Root Cause analysis to understand and improve forecast accuracyPro actively seek the information to improve the forecast, and chase through the information required to complete the processWork with the Master Planner to configure Optimisers planning tool to suit UK warehouse stocking requirementsForecast maintenance in MAPICS system e.G. Item, seasonality, forecast warehouse etcManagement of logical warehouse and stock policy for retail (UK3)Creation and control of local projects Warehouse (IK4)Working with Retail team to ensure forecasts, catalogue launches and EPS data actionedManagement of phase out programmes with retailersMaintain stock availability in line with forecasted sales, checking future stockThrough regular review of projected stock levels, identify and communicate any potential out of stock issues, highlighing these potential solutions to the Supply PlannerIdentify causes and manage reduction of any excess stock createdManage enquiries from the Sales Support team
Skills


Creative, resourceful and able to think independentlyStrong interpersonal skills & stakeholder management skillsComfortable in using BI and Microsoft Office Tools e.Eg. Birst , Excel, ERP/MRP systems to manage data - highly desirableProven problem solving planning, forecasting and analytical skills, high standard of numeracy
Education

Educated to degree level or similar with professional qualifications like CIPS desired but not mandatory

Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in forecasting /commercial analysis roe

Supply chain background highly desired

Far east /long lead time supply chain experience highly desirable.
