The Degree Apprenticeship Programmes Officer is responsible for the Division’s Higher Degree & Apprenticeship (HDA) programmes, ensuring an excellent apprentice experience and that the Division delivers against its education strategies.
You will be responsible for designing, managing, delivering and reviewing all administration processes and activities associated with the Division’s HDA programmes, ensuring that academic colleagues and learners receive professional support. In close collaboration with Digital and Lifelong Learning (DaLL), who manages the Ofsted and EFSA regulatory elements on behalf of the University, and the Quality Assurance & Accreditations Manager, you will also ensure the Division’s HDA programmes meet University and apprenticeship clients’ quality assurance requirements.
As Degree Apprenticeship Programmes Officer you will:
Be responsible for all aspects of project management including planning, reporting, risk management and stakeholder engagement
Develop, manage and review regularly a range of administrative processes to ensure degree apprenticeship programmes comply with university, Ofsted (where appropriate) and EFSA regulations and procedures
Manage communications and relationships to keep all stakeholders informed of progress of the project, ensuring that a robust reporting framework and project communications plan is developed
Manage the Boards of Examiners process for all HDA programmes as part of a wider annual timetable of educational activities, setting the schedule in consultation with key stakeholders and ensuring the allocation of appropriate professional service staff
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
First degree or equivalent experience of working in similar role within HE
Experience of apprentice-facing work or a similar environment, with an understanding of the challenges of learning and engaging with academic staff from a distance
Knowledge and understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures relating to academic administration (e.g. Credit Framework for Taught Programmes, University Codes of Practice for Quality Assurance, Regulations) and experience of applying these
Experience of streamlining office systems and implementing new processes and procedures
