SALARY: £26,000 to £28,000 p.a.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week including evening, weekends and on call and emergency support cover for maximum of 14 days per mth.

LOCATION: Office and Homebased as required. Coving Medway, Ashford and Swale services.

About the Casual Staffing and Project Manager

This is a newly created role with responsibility for managing our bank/temporary staffing needs and ensuring that staffing gaps are filled. This is a standalone in-house role, reporting to the Head of Care.

The successful applicant will provide a responsive service, supporting safe staffing levels to be maintained in all departments and staff groups across the divisions, and ensuring a high degree of customer service is provided to staff and others who come into contact with the temporary staffing function.

You will need excellent relationship management skills, be a strong administrator and importantly will have hands-on care experience, with a transferable Care Certificate and/or Level 3 Social Care Diploma or above. You must have previous experience of dealing with booking staff, with ability to cope with last minute changes.

The team are currently working flexibly from home with the ability to attend the office if needed, adhering to social distancing rules at all times. The successful applicant will be expected to work from the office and remotely as appropriate.

The Kent Autistic Trust is a very well-established specialist care provider supporting autistic people throughout Medway and across Kent. Our primary aim is to ensure autistic adults have the best quality of life that they can have. People with autism are at the heart of all that we do.

Tasks / Responsibilities of a Casual Staffing and Project Manager (will include but not limited to):

Bookings

o Effectively collaborate with the hiring manager to staffing gaps with casuals with the right skills.
o Book/confirm shifts with casual workers.
o Update managers on progress of assignments.
o Establishing the availability of our casual workers.
o Fielding enquiries from our casual workers and Managers.
o Ensuring bank workers attend compliance and refresher training, supported by our Training Partner.
o Maintaining a database of casuals.


Temporary Agency Co-ordination

o To ensure any agency candidates are placed when there is no possible bank alternative available
o Manage our PSL, negotiating best rates and ensuring up to date terms and conditions are maintained
o Build relationship with new recruitment agencies


Hands-on Support

o Part of on call rota - 14 days on call per month to include weekends and overnight
o Be prepared to step in and fill gaps where shifts cannot be filled this could include Wake Nights or sleep-ins
o Keep up to date with your care compliance training


Project Management

o To lead on projects and work with all stakeholders and relevant organisations, alongside other members of the team.

o Full course of Covid vaccination

o Previous experience of booking casual/temporary staff
o Self-starter with a high level of commitment, to mould the role to meet business need

o Strong IT skills
