Are you an experienced administrator and used to working in a busy office environment? If so, and you are keen to contribute to our aim of providing students with the best possible preparation for their future lives, this administrative role within the Careers and Employability Service (CES) at our Medway campus could be just right for you.

Part of a small team, you will be the first point of contact for students and visitors to the CES, maintaining a professional and courteous approach when managing multiple queries or customers. This part-time role (28 hours per week), will also see you supporting event organisation and promotion, and liaising with employers.

As Employability Assistant you will:

act as the point of contact for students and visitors to ensure all have a positive impression of the University and their enquiry is proactively managed
provide support in the organisation of meetings, appointments and events
ensure the CES is well represented through a variety of communication channels, including social media, to maximise student understanding and engagement

To succeed in this role you will have:

GCSE English (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
experience of using spreadsheets and databases and skills in IT including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and social media
excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

The Careers and Employability Service offers a range of information, advice and guidance services free-of-charge to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University.
