Are you an experienced project coordinator looking for a new challenge? If you have good project management skills coupled with an ability to work with others to drive forward actions, this could be a great opportunity for you to develop your career in an important new initiative at the University of Kent.

As part of its response to the COVID pandemic, the University has planned a suite of activities and measures to support proactive Covid containment and interventions and to support the physical and mental wellbeing of young people, in order to help overcome any negative experience during the pandemic and to help them reconnect with their communities. In this part-time (0.6fte) fixed term role, you will oversee the day-to-day organisation and facilitation of the planned activities, directly influencing the effectiveness and impact of the project.

As Project Officer you will:

provide proactive, timely administrative support and coordination for all aspects of project activity to ensure the efficient running of project
support project related communication activity and coordinate and promote project events
support the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project
To be successful in this role you will have:

substantial experience in a similar role providing project administrative support and coordination
experience of setting up administrative systems and procedures for a new project
excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and effective facilitation and presentation skills and the ability to produce clear and concise written materials
excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
The post is based in Student Services. The Student Services Division enables students to fulfil their potential for academic and personal development by offering appropriate guidance and welfare services that support their capacity for responsible and informed decision-making.
