Production Planning Manager
£40,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
1 Assist the Production Managers with determining labour and equipment requirements to efficiently cover production needs
2 Utilising the planning tools provided; Orderwise, ensuring that the system is fully tested, and challenged. Working closely with the system manager to maintain and improve where possible user interaction always achieving best outcome – become a Super User on Orderwise
.
3 Develop the MPS, incorporating a functional Demand Plan, work closely with supply chain and develop a raw materials flow process, develop a RCCP to assess MPS, measuring capacity utilisation and line/load levelling in all units
4 Maintain and manage the Production Plan daily to support the Operations Supervision to achieve on time completion of orders
5 Produce weekly production plans for each manufacturing unit and communicate to the Operations Team during weekly Planning Meeting to ensure full understanding
6 Prepare production performance versus planned output reports and generate OTIF metrics
7 Attend daily Operations Meetings and provide updates on any changes to the plan / incorporate any enforced changes
8 Assist with collating and utilising data collected from processes and resources to enable increasingly accurate planning and help identify targets for improved efficiency and output
9 Ensure timely and accurate communication with all relevant departments on any factors which impact on delivery dates, commitments to customers, etc
10 Provide support with the introduction of new products to ensure operational planning requirements are completed on time
Candidate Specification
Qualifications
• Proven experience of Production Planning in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing industry is the key requirement for this role
• The ability to bring and utilise MRP/ERP knowledge to the business is fundamental to this role
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Desirable but not essential
Experience
• Proven experience as production planner – manufacturing
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Comprehensive knowledge of MRP & ERP Systems
• Thorough understanding of Bill of Materials and Production Routings
• Awareness of Quality Control requirements and problem-solving techniques
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications
