Are you an experienced Project Manager, with excellent leadership, negotiation and influencing skills? If so this role could be ideal. You will be responsible for providing the planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of Information Services (IS) projects.

This will involve enabling the smooth running of these projects and overseeing communication with academic divisions and professional service departments. You will focus on IS related projects within IS and those right across the University landscape.

As Project Manager you will:
• develop and refine project proposals and business cases in collaboration with project sponsors.
• coordinate and steer project activities including the work of other staff and contractors in order to deliver projects, including planned deliverables and objectives.
• monitor and report on progress in a structured manner.
• Lead and work collaboratively with Information Services staff, partners and contractors to plan and deliver IS projects.

To be successful in the role you will have/be:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Proven record of accomplishment of IT project management; including project initiation, detailed planning and delivery.
• Experience of stakeholder consultation and feedback and managing and motivating inter-disciplinary project teams.

Information Services is comprised of five sections: User Experience, Learning and Research Resources, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems and Business Development and Partnerships. Together these directly support almost all areas of University activity.

The University’s main campus is in Canterbury; a vibrant exciting and well-connected city with a world-famous cathedral. One of medieval Europe’s great places of pilgrimage and knowledge, it has a distinctly cosmopolitan feel thanks to its international visitors and the students and staff from its three universities. Less than an hour from London, it takes little more than that to visit France.
