Clarion Housing Group are seeking an experienced Specialist Domestic Abuse Training Manager to join our domestic abuse team based in Kent. Clarion provide Kent County Council commissioned domestic abuse services across the north and south of the county. An essential element of these services is to support increased awareness and understanding across Kent of the emotional, social and economic impact of domestic abuse.

This is a new and exciting role, developing and leading the implementation of Clarion's domestic abuse training, education and awareness strategy to a range of internal and external stakeholders and partners in Kent. The right person for this role will be highly skilled and self-motivated with a strong and sincere commitment to supporting the drive to eradicate domestic abuse from society.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the team producing and developing training programmes, educational materials and information about domestic abuse and local services for delivery to sector professionals, local businesses, community and voluntary agencies and the public.

This is initially a 2 year fixed term contract with a potential of further extension.

Key tasks will include:

Developing, implementing and managing Clarion's Training, Education and Awareness strategy for domestic abuse.

Designing and delivering high quality, complex and sustainable domestic abuse and safeguarding training packages which meet the learning needs of a diverse range of organisations

Producing and sharing domestic abuse information packages and publicity about Clarions DA services throughout north and south Kent
*

Developing a wide network of internal and external contacts and partners, working with them to identify and meet their organisational learning needs
*

Supporting employers across the public, private and voluntary sectors to develop workplace policies on domestic abuse
*

Working together with external partners and colleagues as part of Clarion's domestic abuse management team to support the development of a robust and informed countywide response to domestic abuse

About you

We're looking for someone with previous training and management experience in the DA sector who has a clear ability to create and deliver impactful and engaging training and education packages, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You'll also need to be a great team player and have a good sense of humour!
