Operations Manager

Annual basic salary circa 40k

A great opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to manage a number of people circa 14, including the Warehouse Manager.

Your role will be:

Procedural optimisation of my clients existing pick and packing approaches and team structure
Overseeing the existing warehouse manager
Implementing appraisals and personal development within the team
Health and safety within their operations
Planning efficient use of the existing space with excellent stock control, just in time supply, and leveraging suppliers and 3rd party logistical support to achieve this
Forecast and plan my clients future operational needs and assisting with executing this journey (expect multi-site operation status needed in the next 3-5 years, possibly sooner)

Communication – as directors who communicate openly throughout the business, they believe communication is the foundation of trust and collaboration so they are now looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills and can communicate with my client on the open and honest level at which they operate
Vision – Their operation is forward thinking in every way, they adopt agile principles, focus on sustainability and minimising impact and are targeting 30% compound growth per annum, they need a candidate with the vision to join them on this journey and foresee opportunities and obstacles along the way
Independence – at the current pace of growth the level of day to day challenges and strategic developments are growing, key to this role is to build independence of the businesses operations from regular Directorial involvement to free them to focus on the value proposition design of my clients long term success.

Key skills:

Experience managing high volume pick/pack/ and despatch operations
Health and safety skills, knowledge, and accreditation
Experience managing a multi-site operation (ideally)
Experience implementing warehouse management systems and overseeing their successful adoption
Management experience across a variety of teams and roles to high levels of satisfaction and personal development
Negotiable annual salary in the region of 38- 45k depending on experience, togther with the opportunity to work in a forward thinking and innovative company, who reward and invests in their employees. Year on year they have paid each member of staff a discretionary bonus.
