The Company & Role:

Our client, a NVOCC freight forwarder, are currently looking for a fully experienced Seafreight Import Clerk to join their team in Basildon, Essex.

Duties:


Liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliersQuoting ratesReceiving pre-alerts from overseas agentsCreating files both manually and on the computer systemAdvising customers of arrival of cargo into the UKPlanning loads and sending load lists to agentsChecking manifests once receivedReceiving and checking relevant import documentation and passing on to shipping linesCustoms clearancePlanning and arranging deliveriesCharging filesPassing purchase invoices and dealing with any queries
In Return:

You will receive a salary between £23,000 and £28,000 depending on experience.
