HR Advisor - Part time - £32,000 Pro Rata - Maidstone. My client, an established and vibrant employment consultancy firm in Maidstone, Kent, are looking for a part time, HR Advisor to join the team for a fixed period of 12 months to cover Maternity leave. The role will require you to work 3 days a week. Two of which will be flexible although Fridays are required. you will be a Generalist HR Consultant, as the role is extremely varied. Ideally qualified to CIPD level 7 (or working towards level 7), with a sound knowledge of employment practice.

As a HR advisor with this company you will be providing a full and complete HR support service to the company's clients. You will expand and develop the existing HR client base, actively promoting and working closely with the Employee Benefits and Payroll teams. This will give you the opportunity to earn commission on any new business income, as well as bonuses for sales from referrals through to other teams.

You will be required to attend certain company meetings, including 1:1 assessments, and will be involved in the writing of new and existing Employee Handbooks, HR Policies and Employee Contracts. You will provide remote HR advice on the Helpline (telephone and via e-mail) including: flexible working, family friendly, disciplinary, grievance, dismissals and probation. You will be providing HR compliance guidance and updates on HR legislation, contributing content for the monthly HR Newsletter, which is distributed to clients, and will provide advice to customers about recruitment onboarding (including writing job descriptions, benchmarking, how to conduct assessment centres and inductions). The role will require you to provide advice about learning and development. This will include appraisals, objective writing and guidance, coaching to managers, performance management and succession planning as well as other ad hoc advice such as how to reward employees, training, change management and Health and safety. You will be required to conduct on site visits to customers offices and attend disciplinary meetings when applicable.

Qualifications

* Previous experience as generalist HR at advisor level;
* Qualified to degree level and a CIPD qualified professional (Level 7 or working towards with demonstrable experience/knowledge)
* Demonstrate strong employment law knowledge along with in depth experience of complex employee relations resolution
* Experience of payroll administration
* Full UK Driving Licence

As an HR Advisor working for this company you will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £32,000 pro rata, based on experience. You will also be entitled to an excellent company benefits package. This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity, working part time 3 days a week (including Fridays).
