Procurement and Commerical Manager

£59,068 - £66,537 per annum (salary dependent on experience)

Reporting to the Strategic Commissioner, the post holder will be responsible for leading commercial procurement in specific categories of work such as Transport, Support Services, Consultancy and Indirect Procurement.

Through your impressive commercial acumen and innovative thinking, you will drive the delivery of the County Councils’ Commissioning plan to help meet the identified outcome. You will be required to shape, influence and deliver this plan utilising and exploiting market and commercial drivers.

You will use your flair and in depth commercial knowledge to deliver lean and efficient commissioning activity including the delivery of an effective procurement process. You will work closely with the Strategic Commissioner and operational colleagues, as well as developing a strong collaborative relationship with the market.

You will need to demonstrate your commercial leadership and judgement with good experience of the commissioning cycle within a complex, regulated and changing environment.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
