Materials Management Assistant

HR GO Recruitment are currently working with 2Gether Support Solutions in sourcing a materials management assistant for the local Hospital. This role is listed, via the recent Government Guidelines, as a key worker within the NHS.

Main duties:

*

To be responsible for the efficient management and control of an agreed range of Estates supplies, undertaking and assisting in the timely input and ordering of all supplies and replenishments
*

To ensure good housekeeping of Estates stores supplies at all times with regular stock rotation and avoidance of 'out of date' stock
*

Regularly reviewing stock levels and product usage, identifying and reporting to the supervisor/ team leader areas for further investigation and potential cost saving measures.
*

To assist the supervisor/team leader in supporting and facilitating the evaluation and trialing of new/alternative products and services
*

To ensure the maintenance of comprehensive records of all changes and amendments made to consumables and ensure appropriate
*

To assist when required in the provision of other aspects of the supplies service where appropriate to the grade and responsibility of the post and to meet the needs of the service.
*

To ensure compliance with all appropriate Health & Safety, COSHH and manual handling regulations

The candidate:

*

Previous Supply Chain or Materials Management experience is essential
*

Data Input and Analysis background
*

Previous experience of working in the NHS is desirable
*

Good level of education
*

Ability to work on own initiative and sometimes under pressure
*

Organisational and time management skills are required



This role is a temporary ongoing assignment for the new few months

Pay rate is £10ph

This role is working 37.5 hours a week, 5 days out of 7.
