The Kent and Medway Engineering, Design, Growth and Enterprise (EDGE) Hub is an ambitious development to provide a holistic and inclusive approach to addressing regional skills shortages and sector diversity, whilst promoting participation and social mobility in higher education. Kent and Medway EDGE Hub is a new, partnership-based, industry-led initiative to drive economic growth locally and nationally.

School of Engineering, Technology and Design are seeking to appoint a Project Manager with experinece to manage and support the EDGE Hub project in fulfilling the SELEP and Office for Students annual KPIs. The EDGE Hub activities are diverse, but have cross-cutting themes and the role would will involve working with many departments and Faculties across the University. The project manager would coordinate the employer and schools/college engagement activities, ensure sustainable engagement with all area of activities. Some experience of managing events, businesses/product/customer relationship management, research and development project management would be desirable.

You will have the opportunity to join a team of computing and engineering educators and researchers at the start of the new School of Engineering, Technology and Design’s journey in developing a sustainable inclusive and diverse pipeline of engineering talent from local schools to University graduation to contributing to growing the local economy.
