Background

We are seeking applications for the post of Programmes Administrator to work with the Faculty of Education. This post will be working as a member of one of the Academic Administration Teams who support the range of programmes offered by the Faculty which include programmes focussing on the academic study of Education and professional programmes for those training to teach. This role will be primarily supporting the delivery of the Early Years and Primary Initial Teacher Education programmes.

The Faculty Academic Administration Teams play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the programmes and ensuring a positive student experience of studying with Canterbury Christ Church University. Team members will work closely with academic staff and professional service staff to administer student academic support processes.


The Role

The role holder will be supporting the key administrative processes which will include key student processes such as extenuating circumstances requests, Boards of Examiners, student placement administration, monitoring student attendance and maintaining key programme and student data sets.


The Person

You will be a proactive and highly motivated professional with knowledge of the Higher Education sector. You will have good organisation and time management skills and will be able to establish productive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. Excellent customer service ethos is crucial to being effective in this role as well as a commitment to a positive student experience. You will have experience of working with and well developed skills in Microsoft Office packages (including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook).


Additional Information


We are seeking to recruit to 1 part-time post on a permanent basis working 0.4fte (2 days a week). We are ideally seeking a candidate who can work full days on a Thursday and a Friday but are willing to negotiate with the right candidate.
