Admissions Officer

pro rata £10,871 (equivalent to £21,000 for a full-time role)

Chatham, Kent

Chatham Grammar School for Girls

Chatham Grammar (part of The University of Kent Academies Trust) is seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated and committed individual to the role of Admissions Officer on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a part-time role but may require some flexibility at busy times in the admissions cycle.

You will be responsible for the administration, organisation and smooth running of the admissions process in conjunction with the Assistant Principal. This will include being responsible for organising both secondary transfer and in-year admissions and providing overall support to the Assistant Principal in the management of admissions. There will also be a requirement to support the wider administration team as required.

To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience of the school admissions process and therefore recent previous experience in a similar role is essential. You will need to be well-organised, confident and able to demonstrate a personable persona that is welcoming and represents a caring and open academy for prospective students and their families.

The successful applicant will be coming to a multi-academy-trust-wide supportive learning environment, characterised by open management, and in the knowledge that they will enjoy the full support and care of the pragmatic (and down to earth) leadership team. We have a dynamic, innovative team of professional staff who want to make a difference to the lives, aspirations and opportunities of our young people.

The newly formed multi-academy trust currently has two schools, Brompton Academy which is an extremely popular oversubscribed school with a current Ofsted rating of Good (March 2017) and Chatham Grammar, also with an Ofsted rating of Good (May 2018), which offers its students a wide variety of educational opportunities with a commitment to ensuring that its students achieve good educational outcomes, develop healthy minds and aspire to be happy, confident young women, ready to embark on a variety of aspirational careers.

If you would like to discuss the role or have any queries, please email recruitment@universityofkentacademiestrust.org.uk.
