Hours: Part time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE)

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and energetic Learning Support Co-ordinator to lead and manage a team of Learning Support Practitioners ensuring effective learning support is in place across Hadlow College, Canterbury Campus.
The role will be responsible for planning, implementing and reviewing in-class support provision for students who have Education Health and Care Plans and those receiving Additional Learning Support. You will also work as a member of the ALS team delivering high quality support to learners with identified needs and support curriculum staff to effectively embed inclusive learning strategies into their curriculum delivery, to support learners to achieve and progress.
In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also hold excellent skills in team leadership, organisation, planning, communication, problem solving and will have excellent teaching skills, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities and SEND legal duties is also essential. A level 4 teaching qualification is required in addition to a subject specialism at Level 5/7 in SpLD (Dyslexia), literacy or numeracy. Proof of a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths is also required.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
