Pathways to Independence is a registered charity providing supported housing services to homeless single adults, including ex-offenders, across Kent and Medway.

Together with Maidstone Borough Council and other Kent and Medway stakeholders, we are developing an exciting partnership opportunity to provide short term accommodation with support services for people experiencing homeless and who have a history of criminal convictions
Working hours will normally be Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, although some flexible working is acceptable/required. The contract is fixed-term for twelve months in line with current funding. It is hoped that repeat funding will be secured.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an accommodation based support service for vulnerable people with criminal convictions and a knowledge of the traumas associated with homelessness. The candidate will committed to developing this service within PIE principles and with a trauma informed approach.

The candidate will need to be able to manage their own time and competing priorities effectively. Good IT skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels are essential.

A full UK Driving Licence is essential along with the daily use of a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995).

An Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required. However, a criminal conviction will not prejudice your application but will be risk assessed for the role.
