Ethelbert Children's Services

Ethelbert Children's Services provide residential care for vulnerable young people and children with emotional and challenging behaviours, supported by comprehensive Education, therapy and health services. Our dedicated teams provide high levels of care, supported by committed and knowledgeable managers and ancillary services that have been in operation for over 40 years.

We have a number of vacancies arising and welcome interest from individuals to undertake residential positions in our homes in Thanet, Deal, Folkestone and Graveney. We operate a rota shift pattern throughout the week which includes weekends and overnight shifts and offer a competitive salary as detailed below. In addition, all staff will undertake training and development, leading to professional qualifications with long-term career and promotion prospects.

Residential Workers: commencing £24,313.20 pa - £25,283.40 pa (including sleep-ins) depending on experience

Senior Residential Workers: commencing £25,877.40 pa - £26,372.40 pa (including sleep-ins) depending on experience

UPDATE: Following review our night shift rate is now: £51.65 per night

NB: salaries shown are for full-time positions, there is availability for part-time positions.

Experience or transferable skills are desirable but opportunities exist for candidates without this who can demonstrate a desire to develop their own skills and understanding of working with young people and a willingness to undergo further training, at our dedicated training centre.
