Background

As part of University's review of our academic administrative structures, a further opportunity is available within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing. We are seeking a Practice Learning Unit (PLU) Administrator to provide administrative support within the PLU and the coordination of practice experiences for students.

The Practice Learning Unit (PLU) is a professional support service team reporting to the Faculty Manager (Quality). The role works directly with academic colleagues in the PLU within Health Learning and Teaching, a subset of the Faculty Office as well as key contacts across our placement providers.

The Role

The role will be responsible for the organising and allocating of practice placements for our students across a number of diverse Health programmes, where they will be expected to ensure all practice related activities are carefully administered within a specified timeframe.

The role will liaise closely with the Team Leader (PLU), Placement Leads and Senior Lecturers in Practice Learning to maintain the efficient and smooth running of the PLU administrative office. They will have the ability to establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with academic colleagues and external stakeholders whilst maintaining integrity and values congruent with those of the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
