Service Manager

Reporting to: VP of Managed Services

VIQTOR DAVIS is looking to recruit a commercially focused and highly motivated Service Manager to take delivery ownership of UK Managed Services to our customers. This will include the ownership of Incidents, Problems and Changes throughout their lifecycle from inception to investigation and on to resolution. As well as the leadership, commercial management and maintenance of relationships with colleagues, clients and project sponsors.

Ultimately, as a Service Manager you will be accountable for providing a quality service to our customers within the agreed time and cost constraints. You will continue the delivery of quality service by identifying the root cause of incidents and ensuring that effective countermeasures are undertaken. All while representing VIQTOR DAVIS, our values and processes to exacting quality standards.

As you develop within the role, you will also be responsible for assisting the VP of Managed Services in developing Client Account Strategies which help identify new opportunities with existing clients and opportunities to expand the Managed Service offering beyond the original sale. Furthermore, you will take on line management responsibility for Managed Services colleagues, succeeding through the success and development of your reports.

To apply you must:
o Have a minimum of 5 years practical working experience in an IT application development and/or Managed Services environment.
o Have proven experience of leading a team in a structured, process driven environment.
o Have proven experience and demonstratable strategies for achieving maximum effectiveness from a highly intelligent team in complex and challenging environments.
o Have commercial experience of project/service planning and strategic road-mapping.
o A track record of cultivating commercial relationships, in order to identify and maximise sales opportunities.
o Be educated to graduate level or a professional equivalent. In subjects which demonstrate a sound grasp of logic and reason. Or equivalent professional experience.
o Have a sound grasp of computer science, probably demonstrated by qualifications. Including an understanding analysis and design.
o Be an excellent communicator, including written and verbal communication, and a good listener, with the ability to show empathy and take control.
o Be able to demonstrate sound judgement in balance competing priorities.
o Have a full valid driving licence.
o Be willing to travel where required by the client/project both UK and Overseas.

Preference will be given to those who have experience with:
o Managing multiple projects/services at the same time.
o Certifications/experience in;
o ITIL/ITSM (Information Technology Infrastructure Library/Information Technology Service Management)
o Prince 2 (project management method)
o other structured development lifecycle methods such as DSDM, RUP,
o A breadth of industries (e.g. Financial services, automotive, not for profit, education)
o security standards and policies
o working with remote teams both in and outside of the UK (E.g. USA, NL, India & Mexico).
o standard accounting practices.
