The role: Giving people a safe and secure place to call home is at the heart of what we do. You will conduct maintenance on Porchlight properties (our homeless accommodation and offices) in the Thanet area. You will also be required to travel to Porchlight’s other premises in east Kent from time to time to cover leave and sickness or assist other maintenance staff with their duties.

Strong communication and organisational skills are important to this role. You’ll be a friendly people person who is able to build positive working relationships with staff and residents, and liaise with external contractors when required. You’ll be able to plan and prioritise your own workload.

This role requires:

Experience in trades or maintenance (essential)
Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations and approved codes of practice
Good communication and people skills
A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).
