Our client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer with a focus on testing and quality within a continuous integration and delivery practiced environment. The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining and executing test automation frameworks; alongside manual testing responsibilities.
The Test Automation Engineer will work closely with Software and Test Engineers in an agile team to deliver applications and services into the Pre-Production and Production environments. The Test Automation Engineer will need to understand business requirements and associated testing levels based upon requirements received from both internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES of Test Automation Engineer:
· Provide test and automation leadership within the team
· Imparting skills and knowledge to Test Engineers
· Create, maintain and execute test automation frameworks
· Work with business teams to implement pre-production and production automation test strategies
· Work with business teams to define and document Load and Performance test strategies
· Testing of Web APIs and Windows Services by means of automation
· Create, maintain and execute manual tests where automation is not viable
· Create, maintain and execute load and performance tests
· Isolate software problems and produce clear and detailed bug reports
· Verify work items against defined acceptance criteria
· Provide clear and concise solution improvements for items under test

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE for the role of Test Automation Engineer
Required
· Minimum 3+ years of experience developing experience as a test automation engineer
· Experience of test automation methodologies, practices, and frameworks
· Experience of C# and SpecFlow, or similar
· Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques
· Experience in creating both manual and automated test plans and reports
· Experience in load and performance testing
Desirable
· Experience in test automation utilising C# and SpecFlow specifically with Visual Studio
· Knowledge of Mongo, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and SQL database technologies
· Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment
· Experience of virtualisation utilising Microsoft Azure, Virtual Machine Manager and Docker
· Practical experience Azure DevOps, or similar ALM systems
· Experience of automated deployment tools such as Octopus Deploy
· Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments
· ISEB, ISTQB or iSQI Certified Tester - foundation\foundation agile level or above

WORKING CONDITIONS
The role will primarily be based in the Maidstone office; however, the need may arise to travel and visit other office locations within the UK. Some projects meetings may also be held at customer sites.
